Terms & Conditions for Joining Team Think Pink Rocks NYC HALF

Entry Fee & Fundraising Requirements

Think Pink Rocks team members participating in the 2025 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon are responsible for raising a minimum of $1,000.

Think Pink Rocks team members participating in the 2025 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon are responsible for paying their own race entry fee to New York Road Runners.

The fundraising deadline is March 1, 2025.

In the event the participant does not meet the minimum fundraising requirement by the fundraising deadline, Think Pink Rocks will charge the shortfall to their credit card. Credit cards will not be charged if fundraising minimum is met.

Registration

Upon being accepted as a team member, participant will:

  1. Set up custom Think Pink Rocks fundraising page via Haku platform within 3 days of receiving instructions;
  2. Complete United Airlines NYC Half Marathon registration link to be provided by Think Pink Rocks Co-Captain within 3 days of receiving instructions.

Participant will be provided with all pertinent information to complete these steps in a timely manner. If participant does not complete the steps above in a timely manner, Team Think Pink Rocks Co-Captain may cancel invitation to join team.

Cancellation Policy: After official acceptance on the 2025 team, participant will be responsible to meet fundraising minimum even if participant chooses to cancel their participation for any reason unless their entry is able to be replaced by another participant before the registration deadline takes place.

Donations and Fundraising

Matching gifts received after the deadline do not count towards the minimum fundraising. If, for any reason, the participant is not able to participate, but reaches their fundraising minimum, they may be able to defer their entry to the following year if Think Pink Rocks and New York Road Runners approve the request.

Think Pink Rocks does not set interim fundraising milestones, allowing participants to fundraise on their desired schedule. However, if a participant is not regularly communicating their fundraising progress/strategy with the Think Pink Rocks Co-Captain, the Co-Captain has the discretion to cancel event entry and charge their credit card the fees associated with canceling their entry.

Think Pink Rocks Co-Captain reserves the right to charge the remaining fundraising balance to a participant if the registration deadline has passed or if they have stopped communicating with the Co-Captain at any time or if they have stopped actively fundraising for the event.

Release and Contribution Agreement

In consideration of accepting this entry, participant hereby for themself, heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages they may have against Think Pink Rocks for any and all injuries suffered or sustained in said event, in the training and planning sessions for said event, or travel to and from any of the preceding.

Participant attests and certifies they are physically fit, will sufficiently train for competition in this event, and a licensed medical doctor can verify their physical condition if needed.

Participant grants permission for use of their name and/or photograph in broadcast, print, or any other account of this event.

If accepted on the marathon team, participant agrees to collect the required fundraising minimum for Think Pink Rocks by stipulated deadline. If participant has not reached the minimum by that date, they will be personally responsible for the balance owed and will ensure their credit card information provided is current and active to charge the remaining balance.

If participant negates on their financial responsibility to Think Pink Rocks, they will be reported to the World Major Marathon organization which may result in a ban from future World Major Marathon events.
