About Think Pink® Rocks
Think Pink® Rocks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and providing critical funding for innovative breast cancer research.
Through education, advocacy, and fundraising, we support scientists and clinicians working to advance prevention, treatment, and ultimately, a cure.
Since inception, we have donated millions to cancer research centers.
Did You Know?
- A woman’s risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer is greatly increased if she carries the BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation (Breast Cancer Gene Mutation)
- Other mutations such as ATM, BRIP1, CHEK2, CDH1, PALB2, STK11 and TP53 may also increase your risk of breast cancer
- Men who carry these mutations also have an increased risk of developing breast and prostate cancer

Why Run With Team Think Pink® Rocks?
Runners on Team Think Pink® Rocks run to support cutting-edge breast cancer research and to honor the many individuals and families affected by this disease.
Funds raised through the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon will directly support breast cancer research at:
- Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where Think Pink® Rocks has established a dedicated breast cancer research fund
- The Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan, where Think Pink® Rocks is currently funding several promising breast cancer research initiatives
Some of our runners have a deeply personal connection to breast cancer, while others are motivated by a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact. Together, we run for hope, progress, and ultimately a cure.
Fundraising Commitment
Each runner must commit to raising a minimum of $3,600 by October 18, 2026.
To demonstrate commitment and help offset the cost of guaranteed race entries, runners must meet fundraising milestones and raise a total of at least $1,000 by June 15, 2026, and a total of at least $2,000 by August 15, 2026.
Applicants are required to provide valid credit card information. A credit card will only be charged if:
- The $1,000 fundraising milestone is not met by June 15, 2026; the $2,000 fundraising milestone is not met by August 15, 2026.
- The full $3,600 fundraising goal is not reached by October 18, 2026.
Please note:
- Once accepted onto the team, runners are responsible for fulfilling the full $3,600 fundraising commitment, regardless of participation. This includes injury or illness.
- The NYRR marathon registration fee is separate and must be paid directly by each runner. Your credit card will be charged the NYRR registration fee once you are accepted on the team and approved by the Team Captain.

How Can I Join Team Think Pink® Rocks?
Apply to join Team Think Pink® Rocks HERE. All applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified via email if they are selected to join the team. Before submitting your application, please be sure you understand the fundraising commitment and milestone deadlines outlined above and that you are fully committed to running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon while fundraising on behalf of Think Pink® Rocks.
While we encourage everyone to support this important cause, submitting an application does not guarantee a spot in the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. Participation is confirmed only after direct communication and approval from our team captain. Final fundraising is due by October 18, 2026
Donations to Think Pink® Rocks will benefit 501(C)(3) Charitable Organizations. Beneficiaries include Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/NY and the Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan
